Pedro de Castro

Pedro de Castro is one of the most virtuous guitarists of his time Inspired, versatile, unique, and with strong traditional roots.

Pedro is dedicated to every note he plays. He has brought the sound of the Portuguese guitar to hundreds of stages around the world, but he also presents those who listen to him at his two Fado Houses in Lisbon with his talent and authenticity daily.

Expressive and with his own interpretative style, he leaves his mark on those who listen to him, not only because of his musical mastery but also for the genuineness of his music.

Katia Guerreiro, Ricardo Ribeiro, Camané, Carminho, Rão Kyao, João Braga, Vicente da Câmara and Celeste Rodrigues are some of the fado singers he has recorded with during his professional career. He has played alongside greats such as Plácido Domingo, Martinho da Vila, Ivan Lins and Fafá de Belém.

In 2022 he released his first album, “Festim”, in which he paid homage to his masters.

Increasingly prominent on the world instrumental scene, the Portuguese Guitar is an iconic instrument of Fado, but its sound is also representative of the Portuguese culture.
